You've got the wrong idea on how to correct your promlem
What you need to do is to go to the Templates and Documents window (you can do this do going to File->New->Templates and Documents), then click orginize in the bottom-left corner of the Templates and Documents window, then in the window that pops up, select the template folder that you want your downloaded template in (you can create one if you need to), then click the Commands drop down and go to Import Templates.
