How do I change the OpenOffice.org heading to my own Heading. I could do one of the following.
1) Use a simple text title, set in Bold with a larger font
2) Photograph and make a .jpg title.
3) Something else?
Also after I saved my template, when I execute open office writer, the new empty document is shifted way to the right. What did I do wrong? How can I correct this problem?
Thanks
Thanks for asking. I'm using IE and the latest (3.2) version of OpenOffice. It downloads, and opens, fine, but I am unable to make any changes to the template, as in inserting my own 411. Thanks again.

I am able to use this template very easily. If someone is having trouble with it, I would find it helpful if they said the actual problems they are having instead of just it don't work.
Thank-you,

1. Open Office is free...I agree, not sounding too bright if you paid.
2. .ott is if you want to DOWNLOAD the template to a particular location...in that case, you follow the directions next to the button and RIGHT click to download.
3. .zip is if you want to OPEN the document and begin working on it...in that case, you follow the directions helpfully posted above a few postings and LEFT click on it, extract and start using it!
It all seems pretty straight forward. RT*M
Have a great and OPEN day!

Actually I went back and started downloading the rest of the templates and then I could see the problem. The "Use It" button does say to use your right mouse key, then save target as. If I used my right mouse button it says "Save Image As". Then all I get is the image of the "Use It" button. However if I use my LEFT mouse button it downloads the proper file. Once it's on my desktop all I have to do is double click it and OO.o will open it for me. :)
Thank you,

If you are on the system where you intend to use this template, it is quite easy to open and save this as the sample business card document: Left click on the Use it button, and Open Office will open the sample Business Card document in Open Office.
Using this template, it should be simple as the sample business card document opens in Open Office when clicking on the Use it button. Then make changes to the business card layout in the upper left image until you are pleased with the results, and then copy and paste the changes you have made into the other cells, and saving the document as your business card. Please excuse my questionable spelling and lack of proper English Grammar.
This "use it", feature is certainly a lot better than making you find a template for your software version, and downloading the file. With this page, you open the document in Open Office and save the document as a sample or after you have modified it with your changes. The "Use it" function, certainly prevents downloading an infected dot file or malware bundle of macros masquerading as a legitimate Business card template.

I click on "use It" a screen comes up but I can't do anything with it"business card template" any template
.
I guess insteed of giveing OO my money I should have just bought microsoft. I can't do anything with this crap programe, I can't send documents because noone else can open them. can you send my $ back ?
If you paid someone for open office, then you are an even bigger idiot than you appear. If you want to be even more stupid, then buy microsoft office.
This template is the simplest thing in the world to use... Even a dyslexic monkey could use it.
Maybe you should give away your computer and take up knitting.
Strange how the hover shows it's a .ott file but the actual download is a .zip file. This makes no sense.
