IMPORTANT - read before comment

First of all, sorry for the use of capitals but some kind of people that are mailing me only understand short texts with a lot of capitals and exlamation marks. For all those who do not like to read any manual. For all those who think Openoffice and/or OOtemplates is there to solve all of their problems, in any way possible. READ, please. You have to put a little effort in it. This document is a template and nothing else. Not a document, not whatever, just a template. Not for use with any software (like MS Office,...) it only works with Openoffice and that's it. You have to SAVE the template on YOUR computer in order to make changes to it. That's the way it works. This is not specific for this template but for almost all templates. That is how templates work with software and vice-versa. Yes there's a worksheet-protection but it can be unlocked without a password, yes, UNLOCKED - WITHOUT PASSWORD. (Oh, oh) Just leave the fields blank and hit OK. And then you can CHANGE EVERYTHING you want, even the logo. If you ask yourself what VAT is, TAX or an INVOICE, search the internet. I provide a free template as a "thank you" to OpenOffice for the use of their software. There stops the job. Your part of the job is to change it for your own use. I will provide answers to specific questions about THIS template, NOT about the way OpenOffice works. Know this acronym, RTFM? Search it on the internet... And of course, thank you for using my template, Christophe

Template problems

Great Template But TWO things I can't put the logo in and I can't delete or modified protected area like VAT Nr and £ ONLY comment as I live in HK that of course uses HKD and NO VAT / GST. I guess all countries are slightly different too. Please help!

How to download the template and save it using IEv8

What i found is that when i clicked on the use it button that the template would open up in a new browser window and there would be no option to save to open office software, So in order to save it what i do/did is - right click "use it" > click save target as > (once the download has finished) click on "open" or on the sownloaded file and it should open up in the right app. Hope this helps!

Adding Logo

Please help! I am trying to insert my company logo but insert picture is grayed out when I try to do that. Copy & paste doesn't work either.....also sometimes get "protected cell" error message.Any tips? Also, is .jpg format for the logo OK?

Download Problems

I've found that if you use Opera there is no problem downloading and opening these templates via a number of different methods. I suspect that any other browser will give similar results. I have also found that my Hotmail account will not function properly in Opera...

How to use the template...

Christopher, these guys are asking "how" to use the invoice... This will work for any operating system: In OpenOffice, Click on Tools, Options, OpernOffice.org, Paths and look at the last entry in Templates. Move this (or any) template to this directory/folder. Close the Options window, click on File, New, Templates and Documents, then click on the Templates icon on the left. Viola!
