Starting with Version 0.0.9, This template is being developed with Open Office Writer 3.1
This is a book-writing template that I'm developing for my own use, which I would like to share with others. The idea for this template came from using the yWriter 5 software, and reading this article: Using Open Office Writer for Novel Writing, which is also found here. yWriter has some great functions, but it was lacking some of the important functions that I really like in OOo Writer. Since I also wanted to use the very useful book-writing utilities of Open Office Writer, I decided to adapt some of the yWriter 5 features into OOo Writer as a template.
Beside the normal text body paragraphs, there are also areas where you can write chapter and scene notes and other text areas (which you can hide when you print your book). Using these areas you can plan each chapter and scene separately from the text areas of the book.
I hope to be improving this template as I have time. The version number is at the end of the name. That way you can tell if this has been updated since you downloaded it.
The instructions for using the template have been included within the sample text of the document.
